ORIGINAL Atlanta International Pop Festival POSTER and TICKET 1969 RARE

  
Original (NOT a reproduction) Atlanta International Pop Festival Event Poster and ticket from 1969. This first of the Atlanta pop festivals had attendance estimates that ranged from tens of thousands to 150,000. It was held at the Atlanta International Raceway in Hampton, Georgia, twenty miles south of Atlanta, on the July Fourth weekend, 1969, more than a month before Woodstock. The all-star lineup featured Chuck Berry. Chicago Transit Authority, Canned Heat. Al Kooper, Blood Sweat & Tears, Grand Funk Railroad. Tommy James and the Shondells.

Janis Joplin, Led Zeppelin, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Johnny Winters, Joe Cocker, and others. Poster has tack holes, folds, and minor tears and chips - see photos. Ticket in poor shape, but intact - see photos. Ticket seems to be tacked from behind, possibly with glue dots, to the poster corner. The poster seems able to be lifted freely from the plexiglass cover and back board.

Snap-on frame - some sides of frame missing. You would certainly want to re-frame this - I have left it in its original condition and frame. Oster measures approximately 28" x 22". Please see photos for accurate representation of condition of poster and ticket.
